For those wanting some extra tips before capturing their competition entry we have the perfect opportunity to get some hot tips at a workshop featuring in the Martinborough Pour & Explore events.
Partnering with Parehua Resort and Night & Light photographer Glen Butler - this hands-on astrophotography workshop will have you ready to capture the magic of our Dark Sky Reserve.
On arrival you will enjoy a glass of wine and platters while hearing a little about the Wairarapa dark sky reserve. We will then be joined by Glen Butler from Night & Light photography who will provide a presentation on ideas and theory for astrophotography and nightscape imaging. After getting gear set up we will wrap up and head out for a practical guided field-based session giving you the ability to confidently get your own images.
What you need to bring:
- Camera: Any DSLR or mirrorless camera capable of full manual exposure setting
- Lens: A fast wide-angle lens (focal length between 14 and 35mm) with a wide aperture (like f/2.8)
- Sturdy Tripod
- Red-Light capable head torch
- Charged battery (extras if you have them)
